My World#8 Centennial Monument of Peace and Unity

This is my entry for:

This is the Centennial Monument of Peace and Unity located at San Pedro St., Davao City. It was installed to commemorate the unity and cooperation among indigenous tribes, the early settlers of our city. The monument is strategically located between San Pedro Cathedral and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (City Council) Building. Nowadays, the city is a melting pot of different peoples from all over the world. A lot of stores here are owned by Taiwanese, Korean and Chinese nationals and retirees from Europe and USA are starting to increase in numbers while others have married some locals. Check here to see more of the world.

Beautiful artwork - at first glance, I thought the birds were live animals.
