Davao City

Took this photos on the plane on my way to Cebu for some work-related meeting. We had overcast skies that day so I was pretty sure there would be lots of cloud formations when we got airborne.

Skywatch#75 Low Tide At Costa Marina

Summer has been short and rainy and rainy and short. It was actually not summer at all. So, I didn't have my fill of beach days and I'm missing them right now. Maybe, because I'm feeling tired and low that I just want to lay back by the beach, relax and regroup.

That is my mother and my niece on their way to the deeper part of Costa Marina Beach Resort. Photo was taken while the skies were threatening low again but thankfully, the sun prevailed that day.

Skywatch#33 Camp Holiday, Samal island

I went to attend another get-together with my high school classmates in Camp Holiday Beach Resort at Island Garden City of Samal. The get-together was the second one in more than two decades since we graduated from high school. The weather was really good that day and really perfect for a soak in the sea.

While there, a part of the resort was being spruced up for a beach wedding. The beach wedding setting was pretty and I learned later on that there were some fireworks during the wedding reception.

My World#15 Monfort Bat Cave, Samal, Davao del Norte

Home to almost 2,000 fruit bats, Monfort Bat Cave is considered the largest single colony of fruit bats in the world. Bats are mostly seen as scary, unlovable mammals but for environmentalists, they are considered playing an important role in the ecosystem. Fruit bats help spread out the seeds of the fruit trees keeping the biodiversity of a place alive.

Monfort Bat Cave is being managed by Monfort Conservation Park. It is located at Island Garden of Samal, Davao del Norte.
