My World#14 Laoag Church, Laoag, Ilocos Norte

Built by the Augustinian Friars during 1580, St. William's Cathedral or more popularly known as Laoag Church is actually older than the more popular Paoay Church of the same province of Ilocos Norte.
Laoag Church is known for its sinking belfry which is located 85 meters away from the church.

"sinking belfry"? You mean literally sinking as in into the ground?

Whatever. It's a beautiful building and you captured it wonderfully.

That is a very beautiful building. Also, I have never seen so much history packed into one plaque.

Thanks,

Thanks for dropping by in my blog. This is a very picturesque church both outside and in. And how well you have got that inside shot.

I scrolled down and you have some very interesting shots here but the ones in MW 11 made me gasp out loud. Such wonderful beauty is rare indeed as in those watery pictures.

That's a very interesting story about this church which suffered a lot as the years were passing by!
