Skywatch#73 Tornado Over Mt. Apo?

While we sit on our boat waiting for others, I saw this tornado-shaped cloud hanging over the mighty Mt. Apo.

It changed shape slightly after a few minutes but still it hovered over Mt. Apo.

Awesome! That looks like a lenticular cloud to me, they occur in mountainous areas as they're formed by waves in the air coming off mountains. We occasionally see them where I live.

SKY DITTY

A little birdie told me,
Although I don’t know why,
That if I were to look up,
Way up into the sky,
I’d see some wondrous planets,
The moon and sun and stars –
There before my very eyes
Blazed Jupiter and Mars!
