Skywatch#49 On Our Way to Mt. Pinatubo

The roads to Mt. Pinatubo were not only very dusty and hot but also dangerous. Roads or some sort of roads were entirely covered by thick layers of ash. It was easy to get lost out there and local guides really helped a lot.  The lahar landscape was beautiful and at the same time, surreal.

It does look a bit "other worldly"! Terrific captures and lovely skies, Marites! Thanks for sharing your adventure! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I love that first photo, it's really cool. Almost as if you are entering something you shouldn't. Nice skies!

WOW!!! That road does look a bit scary... very narrow and ashy. You must have been on quite an adventure. The post interested me so much I had to Wikipedia it to learn more. The picture of the rocky side are a bit surreal. I thought out adventure up on Mt. Arenal was mild compared to this one. Love the post. Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on the cloud monster. Please come back soon.

Must be very special to travel through a dust covered landscape to visit the volcano. At least you had nice skies.
